Kiwis winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is yet to score a try in the black jersey - but he feels like this weekend's World Cup clash with Tonga would be the perfect time to change that.

The 22-year-old will start on the left wing for New Zealand in Saturday's match in front of plenty of family and friends so he's eager to put on a good performance.

"I'm excited but I don't think I'm as excited as my family," Watene-Zelezniak said.

"Most of my family is from Hamilton on my mum's side and I've been brought up there for quite a while so it's going to be a big one - not for me but my family."

The four-Test winger even admitted he's tried to help family get to the game.

"I've tried to get as many [tickets] as I can but the family are keen just to get there own and be there to support," he said.

"It's going to be the first game I've played for the Kiwis in front of most of them - nearly all of them."

However, Watene-Zelezniak said he's also had to make sure all of his family are supporting the home team on Saturday too.

"My dad's family is also coming too which is my dad's Tongan side.

"I'm pretty sure they might be going for the Kiwis, I haven't asked them, but if I'm getting some of them tickets they better be going for the Kiwis!"
