'We want to see Deontay Wilder against Anthony Joshua ' - UK promoter hints at 2018 showdown

November 6, 2017

Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could come face to face in the ring next year in a title unification bout for the ages - according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua, 28, was publicly called out by WBC champion Wilder, following his victory over Bermane Stiverne - although the undefeated Brit's promoter assures that the IBF and WBA title holder is far from concerned.

"I think 2018, we want to see Deontay Wilder against Anthony Joshua, no question," Hearn told Sky Sports UK.

"Of course Joshua has told me we want all the belts and that means taking on all the champions," said Hearn.

Hearn also said that Joshua is targeting the WBO champion, none other than New Zealand's Joseph Parker, in his bid to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

"Joseph Parker as well. I had a text from his promoter tonight, asking if we fancy making that fight next.

"Everybody wants to fight Anthony Joshua and you will see him fight everybody."
