A Swedish automaker has broken the production car top speed record, averaging 444.6km/h both ways down a stretch of Nevada highway.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS is the first car in 12 years which isn't a Bugatti to hold the record of the world's fastest production car.
The Swedish automaker shut down a 17 kilometre stretch of Nevada's Route 160 yesterday as they pulled off the intense high speed feat.
Koenigsegg's impressive machine is powered by a 5.0-litre V-8 weighing in at a lightweight 1,406 kilograms.
No doubt Bugatti will be hitting the drawing board as they attempt to take the title back from the Swedish automaker.
