A woman was injured in an incident in the east Auckland suburb of Pakuranga tonight, prompting a major police operation.
A witness in the area told 1 NEWS she saw police dogs, spikes on the road and the police helicopter flying above the area.
Police say they were called to an incident at an address on Parkview Road in Pakuranga around 8pm.
A woman received minor injuries and police have arrested a 26-year-old man, police said in a statement at about 9.40pm.
Cordons that were in place have now been stood down, the statement said.
