Fighting broke out on the streets of South Auckland on Saturday night, with video footage showing more violent clashes between league fans.
Footage taken by Facebook user Suluatai B Mosi and uploaded by NZ Herald show multiple scuffles in Otahuhu with one person yelling, "Stop it, they're our brothers!"
In one shot, about four people can be seen violently swinging their arms at another person.
Comments suggest the incident involves members of Auckland's Tongan community.
There had been widespread calls for calm by members of the wider South Auckland community, including Auckland Councillor Efeso Collins, and police say they are keen for information about this latest incident.
In total 29 people were arrested on Saturday night for disorderly behaviour.
Earlier that evening Tonga had beaten Samoan in a hotly-anticipated World Cup match in Hamilton.
There are been outbreaks of violence as well as more peaceful displays of enthusiasm throughout last week.
