Perfect start! Richie Mo'unga scores opening try for Baabaas after catching All Blacks sleeping on the wing

November 5, 2017

They may not have gotten the final result, but Richie Mo'unga and the Barbarians still caught the All Blacks napping in this morning's match at Twickenham when the first-five dove into the corner for the opening try.

The Baabaas surged into the All Blacks' 22 in the eighth minute before settling on the right side of the field metres from the line.

Halfback and fellow Kiwi Any Ellis fired off a ball to the right to go down the Barbarians backline but the run came up inches short from the line.

What it did do, however, was free up the right wing for Mo'unga to swing around behind the ruck and run onto another Ellis pass to score practically unopposed.

Mo'unga was the only New Zealander in the squad to score against the All Blacks in the 31-22 loss.
