November 3, 2017

Dramatic CCTV footage has captured the moment a kidnap victim busts out of a car boot to escape her alleged captor in the US.

The footage taken at a petrol station in Alabama on Tuesday shows a car pulling up next to a pump, with the driver exiting the vehicle and walking inside.

Not long after he exits the vehicle, the boot of the car opens and a woman emerges, before running full speed into the petrol station store.

Cameras inside the store catch the man realising his victim had escaped, with him making a mad dash back to his car to flee the scene.

Timothy Jabbar Wyatt, 36, was taken into police custody nearly 24 hours after the shocking footage was captured at the petrol station.

Wyatt is known to police who have described him as armed and extremely dangerous.

He has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery and second-degree domestic violence.
