The Barbarians could have their own haka planned in response to the pre-match challenge laid down by the All Blacks, captain Andy Ellis has hinted.

With the Barbarians' heavy influx of New Zealanders - with 10 named to start and another three on the bench - Sunday's clash could see the two sides offer different cultural exchanges before kick off.

Speaking to media today, Ellis urged patience from fans, eager to see both sides go at it.

"I'm not too sure, you'll have to wait and see," he said.

"There's been a little bit of chat, I dunno. We'll see."

Ellis also spoke about the prospect of facing the haka, something entirely unfamiliar to the 28-Test former All Black.

"I hadn't really thought about it too much - it's gonna be awesome."

"I'm looking forward to it."
