This weekend's clash between the All Blacks and the Barbarians at Twickenham will have an unfamiliar feeling for flanker Ardie Savea, who'll face off against older brother Julian for the very first time.
With the older Savea brother dropped from international reckoning, Barbarians coach Robbie Deans wasted no time in calling the destructive winger into his side for Sunday's clash, squaring off against his former teammates with a point to prove.
Speaking to media ahead of the match, younger brother Ardie said that it would be strange lining up against a member of his own family.
"I think it'll be the first time I'll be playing against him," he said.
"He'll be pretty excited to face the All Blacks, and I'm pretty excited too."
Ardie also said that he's hoping to avoid a one-on-one confrontation with his older brother, once Sunday's match kicks off.
"I caught up with Jules yesterday, he's pretty pumped! Hopefully he doesn't run down my channels."
