The All Whites have received a major boost ahead of their intercontinental play-off with Peru on November 11, with star players Winston Reid and Chris Wood appearing to be near full fitness.

In a horror 24-hour period for New Zealand Football, both Reid and Wood limped out of their respective Premier League matches with injuries, however both of their club managers say that the duo are tracking positively for a return to action.

Wood, 25, appears to be ready to return from a hamstring complaint suffered while playing for Burnley against Manchester City two weeks ago, manager Sean Dyche confirmed.

"[Wood] has been on the grass with us today and we think he will be involved," Dyche said in his side's pre-match press conference.

"I say 'think' to make sure he has no reaction over the next 24 hours."

Reid on the other hand, went down in a challenge for West Ham against Brighton and Hove Albion, with his manager Slaven Bilic confirming Reid and fellow defender Aaron Cresswell are in contention for their side's clash with Liverpool on Sunday morning.

"They're fit and they trained today," Bilic told reporters.

"They should be OK for the game against Liverpool."

The All Whites face Peru in Wellington on November 11, before the return fixture in Lima on November 16, with the winner earning a spot at next year's Football World Cup in Russia.
