Christchurch crash leaves one in critical condition, motorists told to expect delays

A person has been left in a critical condition in Christchurch hospital after crashing into a pole overnight in Redwood.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 1am today to help the person who was trapped in their vehicle.

Marshland Road is currently closed between Main North Road and Prestons Road.

Motorists are being warned of significant delays this morning and are being asked to use the alternative route.
