The Syrian military's media arm released a video on Wednesday showing fighting taking place between government forces and the Islamic State group (IS) in Deir el-Zour city in the east of the country.
In footage filmed by the Syrian Central Military Media, plumes of smoke can be seen rising over the city's sky line after Syrian army jets raided what's believed to be an IS post.
Gunfire was also exchanged on the ground in the city between Syrian Army soldiers and IS militants.
They're believed to be hiding in two neighbourhoods in the city as soldiers continue their offensive to completely clear Deir el-Zour.
Bulldozers were used by the army to comb streets which were believed to contain landmines.
