Two teens have been arrested over a brawl at a Pak 'n Save supermarket in Mangere on Tuesday evening.
A 17-year-old male from Mangere has been charged with assault and disorder.
He will be appearing in the Manukau District Court on November 2.
An 18-year-old male has been referred to the Community Justice Panel.
Sergeant Ross Donaldson of Counties Manukau Police says police are continuing to make enquiries into this incident to identify other offenders involved and cannot rule out further charges being laid.
Police earlier said they were called to the incident involving multiple individuals around 9.10pm on Tuesday, but when they arrived those involved had fled the scene.
Police appealed for public help with their investigation.
Phone video of the incident showed punches and kicks being thrown in the supermarket. Security officers stepped in to stop the fight.
The brawl outraged the Mangere community, with many writing on social media that it was cowardly behaviour to fight in front of children and the elderly.
