Konrad Hurrell got the fright of his life from his mischievous Tonga teammate Andrew Fifita while having a close encounter with a snake in Cairns.
The pair are in the city ahead of their league World Cup opener against Scotland, and were getting a closer look at some local wildlife.
In the video posted yesterday, a nervous-looking Hurrell gingerly reaches out a hand slowly towards the snake, which is carried in the safe hands of its handler, before Fifita, who is filming the video suddenly lunges at him.
