Video footage has emerged of a brawl which broke out in at the Mangere Pak'n Save supermarket, where two men faced off as children watched on with their stunned parents.
The footage was posted online last night in the form of two videos filmed on a mobile phone.
Two men can be seen facing off and fighting, throwing vicious punches and kicks, while members of the public try to get between them.
Parents can be seen with young children watching as the two grown men fight.
Pak'n Save External Relations Manager Antoinette Laird said security stepped in to break up the fight.
"It was over quickly," she said.
"Obviously, this behaviour is completely inappropriate and it was a rather unpleasant experience for other shoppers.
"According to the store no one was hurt, however, Police were notified and the incident is being investigated further."
Police have been approached for comment.
