James Shaw has spoken of his pride at both himself and the two other Green Party MPs taking up roles in the next Labour-led Government.
The other two Green Party MPs allocated ministerial portfolios aside from Shaw were Julie-Anne Genter and Eugenie Sage.
Shaw fronted the media in Wellington shortly after Jacinda Ardern released the full list of ministerial portfolios for her government just before midday today.
"The Green Party is obviously delighted to do with the announcement of the portfolio allocations," Shaw said.
"We are both simultaneously both very proud and very humbled to be bestowed with this responsibility."
The Green Party co-leader also commented on his meeting with NZ First leader Winston Peters yesterday, in which he brought him some whiskey.
"It was very pleasant. It was a social call," Shaw said of the meet-up.

Shaw also said people need to keep an "open mind" about who the nominees for Green Party co-leader will be after the resignation of Metiria Turei during the election campaign.
Green Party MP Julie-Anne Genter, who is the Minister for Women, Associate Minister of Health and the Associate Minister of Transport, also spoke to the press.
"We have an agreement with Labour to make significant progress on closing the gender pay gap," Genter said.
