Watch: Women accused of killing North Korean leader's half-brother retrace steps through airport

October 24, 2017

Two women accused of being involved in the killing of Kim Jong Un's half brother were brought back to the airport where the attack occurred.

Siti Aisyah, who is Indonesian, and Doan Thi Huong, who is Vietnamese, face the death penalty if convicted of deliberately killing Kim Jong Nam at a crowded Kuala Lumpur Internation Airport budget terminal in Sepang on 13 February.

The suspects were filmed being taken back to the terminal today as their trial moved to a crucial stage.

Kim Jong Nam died after VX nerve gas was thrust into his face at the airport.

Under Malaysian law, the suspects cannot be sentenced to die if they didn't have intent to kill - and that, essentially, is their defence.

Both claim they were "lizard tails," the unwitting and expendable victims of an elaborate plot orchestrated by several men who convinced them they were taking part in a reality TV show, a comedy in which they would wipe lotion on the faces of unsuspecting marks.
