Large power outage north of Auckland

An area north of Auckland has been without power after a ute hit a power pole. 

Emergency services were called to Kahikatea Flat Rd, near Waitoki, around 5pm yesterday. 

The outage affects numerous properties in the areas of Waitoki, Helensville and Kaukapakapa.

Estimates from Vector energy are that power will be restored around 7am today.
