A man has been arrested after a reported hostage situation at a bowling alley in central England today.
Warwickshire Police responded to a major situation on Sunday (local time) at Bermuda Park, a shopping and leisure centre in Nuneaton, about 7.5 miles north of the town of Coventry.
The force said the problem was not terror-related, but provided no details. It has been reported that two employees were held hostage.
One witness said he was bowling when he "turned round and there's a weird looking man and he's got a gun over his head".
People started to "shout and scream" and fled, the witness said.
Specialist firearms officers and police negotiators, along with fire, ambulance and police air services, were called to the scene.
A man has been arrested and is in police custody.
No injuries were reported.
