Police appeal to public for information on serious Hastings attack this morning

Hastings Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a serious assualt that occured on Karamu Road at around 1:15am this morning. 

A 49-year-old local man is in Hawkes Bay Hospital in a critical condition, following the attack.

Police have arrested a 41-year-old man who, police say, is known to the victim.
