The All Whites will have to fly alone after Peru rejected the offer to share a chartered plane back to Lima after the first leg of the intercontinental play-off between the two sides in Wellington on November 11.

After full-time in the first leg of the tie on November 11, both sides will be in a race against time to get to South America, ahead of the second leg in the Peruvian capital on November 16.

However, the Peru Football Association have rejected the offer, NZ Football CEO Andy Martin confirmed.

"Peru have told us they won't be able to, or don't want to share a plane," he told NZME.

"They have commitments to a lot of sponsors that they want to bring out so it just isn't feasible for them in terms of space."

The news means that New Zealand Football will now have to bear the cost of chartering their own plane for the 16-hour flight.
