Don't ask Loretta the chicken why she crossed the road.
She went by paddleboard instead.
Loretta's owner, Karly Venezia, says water sports are quite popular in her home state of Florida.
Ms Venezia says the one-year-old Rhode Island Red likes to chill on the front of the board during rides.
"Loretta's very curious and follows us around the yard. And living in the Florida Keys we like to get out on the water. So it only seemed natural to us to take Loretta paddleboarding and boating and things that we do with our dogs," Ms Venezia said, sitting on the paddleboard with Loretta.

Wild chickens roaming the streets are common in the Florida Keys but not on paddleboards.
