A resident in County Wicklow, Ireland, has filmed the unfortunate moment tropical storm Ophelia removed the roof of his front porch.
Alan Foreman recorded a video of the destructive winds ripping his roof of as the deadly storm slammed into Ireland with wind gusts of up to 130km/h.
"Bye bye porch," Mr Foreman is heard saying as the roof goes flying off.
Although Ophelia has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, Ireland's National Emergency Coordination Group on Severe Weather warned that the storm is still "unprecedented, with serious life-threatening conditions."
Ireland's weather service, Met Eireann, described the storm as the most powerful on record to have ever been this far east in the Atlantic.
Hurricane Ophelia and fires in Europe are said to have turned the sky a reddish colour. (Source: Other)
So far three people have died as a result of the storm.
