The Kiwis have today revealed their brand new playing strip for this year's Rugby League World Cup, with the jersey reflecting the team's cultural heritage.

The jersey features a cultural pattern, added onto the back and sleeves of each individual player, hand designed by team cultural advisor Ora Kihi.

Elements of players' tattoos were used as inspiration for the patterns, which New Zealand Rugby League CEO Alex Hayton says add to the tradition of the jersey.
