Haydo's mailbag this week looks at the smaller problems Fair Go's audience are faced with.
This week we start with David in Christchurch.
His problem was his newspaper and how it flew through the air.
"Historically it was delivered, wrapped up in glad wrap as a roll, had very good ballistic properties, always landed on my property and was always dry when you went to pick it up should it be raining.
"It's now delivered instead as a flatpack, which has terrible ballistic properties. Invariably the paper doesn't arrive on my property. It's either on footpath or in the gutter. On a wet day if it gets on the property or not, it gets wet."
The Press tell us they're getting greener.
"The plastic used as part of the new packaging is recyclable. The previous cling film product was not.
"The new plastic has been designed to be as scuff resistant as possible and we do aim to land the paper like a feather.
"When Mother Nature does get the better of us we offer a redelivery service and we're working with the delivery person to identify better landing spots or tie a rubber band around the paper to minimise damage."
Jan from Wainuiomata has chip issues
"Hi Fair Go, I've always wondered why Copper Kettle Salt and Vinegar chips don't have any vinegar in them. There's none in the ingredients list at all."
Jan's right. The chips contain potatoes, sunflower oil, salt, lactose, sugar and a variety of food acids. Bluebird confirm this.
"Copper Kettle Sea Salt & Vinegar Chips are seasoned with a selection of natural flavours to create a range of tastes, including some that give a vinegar flavour."
It is true these salt and vinegar chips do not contain vinegar but it is true they contain the food acids used to make vinegar.
Another David, from Wellington this time, spotted something different about his Just Juice.
"I was wondering why is the new Just Juice 2.4 litres when it was 2.8 previously in the old packaging."
David's right about the change.
Just Juice say: "We have reduced our bulk Just Juice packs from 2.8L to 2.4L, and at the same time improved bottle functionality and recipes, removing any artificial flavours and replacing them with all natural flavours.
"We have lowered our recommended pricing for the new packs, but we don't set the retail price so you may see some variation from store to store."
Just Juice wouldn't tell us what their recommended price is but David says on special he pays $4 for the old juice. We found the new juice on sale for $3.90.
