Last week Fair Go's story about the Dsouza family having trouble with their Flat Stack containers caused support and derision in equal measure.
Some who had bought the collapsible silicone containers had nothing but praise and couldn't believe anyone would have trouble shutting them – others said yep, we've had the same problem.
The importers of the product, Show TV, invited Fair Go to their warehouse in Mt Maunganui to show us how they work, with two key results.
First, a lesson in using them revealed that there is, actually, a technique that works almost every time.
The second result was that some of the Dsouzas' Flat Stacks were quite tricky to shut.
Show TV's Phil Blomfield said that where the product was not working, or faulty, the warranty would definitely kick in, and customers like the Dsouzas could either have a replacement of a refund of the purchase price.
