'As long as the boys work hard' – Jason Taumalolo optimistic over Tonga's World Cup chances

Tongan star Jason Taumalolo says that his side are a good chance to cause a few upsets at this year's Rugby World Cup.

Taumalolo, 24, famously turned his back on the Kiwis in favour of representing Tonga at this year's tournament, as the Pacific nation go about challenging for honours at the World Cup.

Speaking to 1 NEWS in Nuku'alofa this afternoon, Taumalolo said he was confident of Tonga's chances.

"It should be alright," he said.

"A lot of work has to go in, has to begin before any of that can happen.

"As long as the boys work hard, and don't listen too much to the hype, they're alright."
