A man is being sought by police after carrying out the violent robbery of a bar on Auckland's North Shore last night.
Police say the suspect entered Vino bar on William Pickering Drive in Albany around 6:45pm last night, threatening patrons with a firearm before assaulting a female staff member and making of with a sum of cash.
The staff member was complying with the man's instructions when she was assaulted.
The area was reasonably populated at the time with people travelling home from work or visiting other local bars and restaurants in the immediate area.
CCTV caught the alleged offender on camera and police are appealing to the public for information on the man.
