It's a girl! Dame Valerie Adams welcomes baby daughter into the world

Olympic shot put legend Dame Valerie Adams has given birth to a baby girl this morning, named Kimoana Josephine Adams Price.

Confirming the news on Twitter, Adams, 33, posted a picture of her newborn daughter grabbing her finger.

"Never knew a luh luh luh a love like this" Adams tweeted

"Welcome to the world, Kimoana Josephine Adams-Price."

Kimoana Josephine is Adams' and partner Gabriel Price's first child.
