Police have located the man who allegedly stabbed a woman in Thames this afternoon, before fleeing the scene with a toddler.
Police located 36-year-old, Arana Barlow, who was being sought in relation to a stabbing on Ngati Maru Highway in Thames this afternoon.
The man was found at an address in Kelston, Auckland, and Police say he is assisting them with inquiries.
The two-year-old boy who was with him was also found safe and well, and is being supported by Police and will be reunited with loved ones.
Mr Barlow had fled an address on Ngati Maru Highway with the two-year-old boy, after police were called there around 4pm this afternoon.
Police said the boy is a "family member" of the wanted man.
The woman who was stabbed was flown to Waikato Hospital with wounds and is in a serious but stable condition.
It's believed the alleged offender is known to the female.
