Investigations are continuing after three males were shot at from a car in Otara, South Auckland last night.
Police believe three offenders were in the vehicle with a shotgun, and they are still searching for the shooters.
Armed police were called to the scene on Kudu Road about 7.05pm.
The victims were three males aged between 14 and 21, and they were taken to Middlemore Hospital last night.
Two males have been discharged, and one other is still in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
One of the victims, Levaula Amosa told the NZ Herald he was walking home with his friends aged 16 and 14 when a car with three men pulled up and "wanted to fight us".
The boys continued walking home, but the car returned and the offenders allegedly pulled out a gun.
"I thought it was a fake. That's why I didn't run," he told NZ Herald.
He said the gun fired, and blood spurted from minor injuries.
"It makes me scared for my family."
Police will today continue their enquiries into finding the shooter, or shooters, and are reviewing CCTV footage.
